Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Baking dish
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the sliced beef sirloin to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
  5. Stir in the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with half of the provolone and mozzarella cheeses until smooth.
  7. Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables and mix well.
  8. Pour the cheese mixture over the steak and vegetables, stirring until everything is well coated.
  9. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, spreading it evenly. Top with the remaining provolone and mozzarella cheeses.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Once baked, remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before garnishing with chopped parsley.

Notes

Variations:
- Use chicken breast instead of beef for a different protein option.
- Add mushrooms or zucchini for extra veggies.
- Incorporate different cheese varieties like cheddar or gouda for a unique flavor.
- Make it spicy by adding sliced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes.
