Method
 

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (or your oven to 375°F). If using an oven, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Lightly flour a clean surface, then transfer the dough onto it. Knead lightly for about 1 minute until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and use your finger to create a hole in the center, forming a bagel shape.
  5. If using the egg, beat it in a small bowl and brush it over the bagels for a shiny finish.
  6. Place the bagels in the air fryer basket or on the prepared baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle your chosen toppings on top.
  7. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes or in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
